This area of Spearfish developed quickly when Walmart closed its downtown location and opened its Superstore here.  This location has thrived.  It is said to have bested every original projection by far.  The City of Spearfish enjoys tremendous tax benefits from this Goliath.  Have you ever seen a city this size with as many city parks, wide streets, new buildings, no low income area, and a balanced budget?
